The Reconciliation and Restoration Foundation was established in 2022 by a group of deeply experienced and invested nonprofit leaders in supporting the growth of Black-led nonprofit organizations. The goal is to change the narrative of philanthropy from ‘resourcing’ to holistic support that offers reconciliation and restoration.

By brokering funding, capacity-building and wellness services, our leadership will directly support organizations toward long-term sustainability and social equity in Texas initially, with the plans for regional expansion to the Pacific Northwest, Deep South, and the East Coast over the next three years.

In this role, I supervised program staff in Texas, Florida, Georgia, Washington, Illinois, California, New York, West Virginia and Washington, D.C.  I was responsible for the development and implementation of the engagement strategy across the country, identified local, regional and national partners and the creation and presentation of a training to educate organizations on Social Capital, Collective Impact, and Asset Based Community Development.  I worked with staff to build the  capacity of  more than 3000 organizations in order to support children and families through training, the portfolio of World Vision Resources, convening and connecting organizations to one another through Community Engagement Days and Youth Engagement Days around the US.  I was also responsible for the HEA (Disaster Response) across the US supervising staff, a budget and strategy which includes managing a budget of nearly $2 million. In addition, I served on the National Leadership Team for US Programs and worked closely with other departments including marketing, fundraising, operations, evaluation and Gifts In Kind to support the work around the country.

Partners for Sacred Places is a national, nonsectarian, nonprofit that provides funding, technical assistance, and training to congregations in historic buildings.  Partners has offices in Philadelphia, Chicago, and Fort Worth.  The immediate focus at the time of the Texas Regional Office was to provide funding and support those congregations affected by Hurricane Ike in Galveston.. Froswa' built partnerships statewide and nationally, overseeing programming, public relations, staff, budget, and fundraising for the office.

Southwest Sustainability Specialist

Froswa' provided assistance to local governments in the state of Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas, and Oklahoma through research and development in the areas of organizational culture, leadership skills, technology, grant and RFP information to over 50 cities.  In addition, educational workshops and seminars were offered to staff as well as one on one consultation with city managers and department heads.  Regional events were developed and promoted generating local government staff participation.  Consultants were hired as well to offer training and expertise to member cities.  This role included the recruitment and retention of member cities.  In less than eight months, Froswa' added six cities as members.  Case studies were analyzed from local governments for inclusion in national conference programming.

Booker-Drew was promoted to Director of Communications/Assistant to the Headmaster at St. Philip’s School and Community Center where she was responsible for all public relations and special projects for the Executive Director. Hired initially as the Director of the Community Center for St. Philip's School and Community Center, she was the administrator of the Athletics, Before and After School Care/Summer, and Outreach programming. This included the implementation of new programs and developing collaborative partnerships with community agencies.  In this role, she was responsible for reporting to corporate, foundation, and individual donors.  She also assisted the Development Department in the research, reporting, and writing of proposals for the Community Center.  Her role included managing a budget that exceeded $250,000 excluding the $1.3 million capital campaign, supervising staff and nearly 100 volunteers and assisting in the design of the new Learning Center, which houses Community Center programs.  Froswa’ solicited and received funding from United Way of Metropolitan Dallas, Dell Foundation, Microsoft, and many others during her tenure.  As a result of her leadership, participation increased especially in targeted zip code areas as well as a stronger relationship was established with the media publicizing programming.
