Nicco Diaz

Nicholas Diaz, a visionary leader and first-generation, Latinx student from NYC public schools, is committed to advancing educational opportunities for all children, with a particular focus on students of color from low-income communities. Diaz began his career as a 7th grade English teacher in Miami, where he helped to achieve remarkable academic progress for his students. Diaz then leveraged his experience to help Teach For America recruit promising future leaders at over 40 colleges and universities in the Northeast as Director of Recruitment. Diaz localized his impact by working for a high-performing charter network in Brooklyn for two years as Director of Teaching Fellows Recruitment at Ascend Public Charter Schools. Today, Diaz serves as the Director of Talent Acquisition at OneGoal, a national non-profit working to close the degree divide in America. Diaz received his BA in English with Honors (cum laude) from Cornell University.
