    Frank Di Massa is a seasoned professional with a strong background in energy management and sustainability. Frank envisions a smart grid composed of nanogrids and microgrids that support Distributed Energy Resources (DER) such as Distributed Renewables, Electric Vehicles (EV), Energy Efficiency (EE), Energy Storage (ES), and Demand Response (DR). He is passionate about the democratization of renewable resources using distributed ledger technology. Frank holds a Master of Science (MS) in Environmental Management from the University of San Francisco and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Physical Sciences from California State University, Chico. Throughout his career, Frank has held various key positions such as Energy Manager at Contra Costa County, Energy/Sustainability Manager at the University of the Virgin Islands, General Manager at Utility Consulting, and Senior Research Scientist/Engineer at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL). Additionally, he has served as the Municipal Energy Program Manager at the City and County of San Francisco and as an Energy Conservation Representative at PG&E. Frank retired from full-time work at Net Positive Consulting.
