Served as the chief strategy officer, represented Clinica in the community and with partners and elected officials, oversaw the Development and Health Promotions departments, lead special projects, and as a member of the Executive Team was a liaison to the board.  

Brought new models and relevant innovations to the Leadership Team, like shifting the focus from providing access to health care to helping patients achieve health.  Co-designed the annual board retreat and updating of the strategic framework.

Coalesced the founder’s and board's vision into Vision 2020, aligning it with external needs and market research and building implementation and funding plans.  
Phase I - led the funding and construction of a 900 SF expansion of the current facility).  
Prepared for later phases – by moving plans forward to achieve a more sustainable revenue model in a more integrated care model (expanded to include the social determinants of health), in an expanded facility.  This included:
o	Growing philanthropic dollars by 36% from 2012 to 2015 (over $2.7 million) & entering 2016 with 67% of funds secured.
o	Supporting a team effort that secured Federally Qualified Health Center status.
o	Putting infrastructure in place for a capital campaign (staffing, volunteer co-chairs , committee members, qualified major gift donors, feasibility study).
o	Completing a real estate plan and identifying locations that meet the criteria.
o	Designing a community engagement process to inform the new model & location, including a multi-year grant to fund this as part of a community health needs assessment.

In addition, contributed to the budgeting process, recruited the candidate who became the organization’s first CFO, coached and supervised dept. heads, and introduced board and leadership to emerging trends and models.  While launching the Ripple Affect in 2016, provided interim deputy roles as a successor was hired and onboarded to ensure a seamless transition.

After having worked in Colorado's nonprofit sector since 1992, Flossie facilitates courses on the topics of leadership development, securing strategic grants and philanthropic partnerships, and aligning organizational structure and culture with its mission, vision and values.

Affiliate Faculty, Master of Nonprofit Management

In the Campaign for Regis University, raised $10.6 million (12.8%) of the $82.7 million secured, $1.1 million for non-campaign projects.  Grew the number of $100,000+ gifts by 220%, including a first-time gift of $1 million. Secured catalytic and national grants as well as project and general operating dollars.  Increased the number of active funders from the 70s to about 100 without adding staff. Increased faculty involvement in fundraising by 300% during the campaign.

Leveraged the University vision and each college’s strategic plan to identify fundable needs and then reframed them into the language of prospects’ philanthropic goals.  Coached and prepared the president, trustees, vice presidents, deans, and department chairs for visits with prospects and coordinated follow up steps. Founded the first university-wide Grants Team that resolved poor grant management performance.

Director, Foundation and Corp. Relations

Raised gross revenue of $769,000 in final year; net revenue grew by 30%.
Established and branded the Denver Distinguished Lecture Series.
Served as liaison with other organizations to ensure all were actively engaged (e.g. the Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce, Lieutenant Governor's office, DU, other nonprofits).  Supervised three employees, two contract employees and directed project teams.  Directed communications (e.g. media exposures, newsletter, ad campaign and PSAs).

Junior Achievement - Rocky Mountain, Inc.

VP, Events and Communication

Children's First was a ballot initiative in Colorado in 1992 co-sponsored by then Gov. Roy Romer and state PTA. It would have required certain K-12 education reforms but lost because these reforms were attached to a sales tax increase. Flossie set up fundraising events. It was a great way to network within the education community and resulted in the job at JA.
