Filipa Ferreira

Filipa Ferreira is a dedicated pre-clinical scientist with a diverse background in microbiology, immunology, and neuroimmunology.

She holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Microbiology and Immunology from the University of Zurich, complemented by additional educational achievements including a Research Master's degree from Erasmus Universiteit Rotterdam and a Bachelor's Degree from Universidade Nova de Lisboa.

Filipa's passion for science is evident through her hands-on experience in designing, conducting, and analyzing scientific experiments, aiming to contribute to the development of novel medicines for patient care.

With a solid foundation in academia, Filipa has extended her expertise into the professional realm, serving in key roles such as Preclinical Research Associate at the Wyss Center for Bio and Neuroengineering.

Her previous positions include working as a Scientist in Neuroimmunology at the University of Zurich, Research Associate in Neurophysiology at Eli Lilly and Company, and various research roles focusing on neuroimmunology, neurodegeneration, and protein crystallography at esteemed institutions like Erasmus MC and REQUIMTE.
