Betsy Waliszewski

Betsy Waliszewski is an accomplished professional known for her extensive experience in event planning, marketing, and sponsorship coordination. Currently responsible for fundraising and sponsorships for the PSF and PyCon US, she also assists in the planning, organizing, promoting, and coordinating of PyCon US. Waliszewski has a Bachelor of Science degree in Theater Arts from the University of Oregon, completed a Professional Certificate Program in Event & Meeting Planning at San Francisco State University, studied CTSM, Certified Trade Show Marketing at Northern Illinois University, and Associate of Arts degree in Fashion Design at Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising.

Formerly Director of Sustainability at Open Source Initiative (OSI), Partner Manager, Senior Marketing Manager, Tradeshow & Events Manager, and Product Marketing Manager at O'Reilly Media, as well as a Marketing Manager at Infortrend Corp., Waliszewski uses her extensive experience to identify new and creative ways of improving the Foundation and strengthening the Python community. Waliszewski's skills and expertise in event planning, marketing, sponsorship coordination, sustainability, and Python make her a valuable asset to the organizations she works with.
