The expertise of an expatriate/TCN Senior Advisor is required in order to provide dedicated leadership over this set of activities. The Senior Advisor will be responsible for strategic input to the Chief of Party on the process of engaging local stakeholders who are committed to ensuring that recent advancements for Afghan women are not undercut during peace process negotiations. This group of stakeholders could potentially include, but is not limited, to local advocates for women’s rights and empowerment, members of all of Musharikat issue-based coalitions and partners, and external actors including advocacy group, legal groups and policy makers.

o	Train and educate over 2000 changemakers and fellows in the field; visit and provide locally-driven programs in 25+ countries and work with an additional 75 countries remotely in Asia, Africa, Europe and Latin America to develop broad coaching and mentoring networks.
o	Develop and facilitate online-courses, field workshops, and resources and networks for activists.
o	Develop and connect human resources including global practitioners (450+ alumni) from ICNC advanced programs, to build regional institutes and hubs filled with scholars, journalists, and practitioners.

o	Lead funder’s educational and transformational change initiatives through membership in the Peace & Security Funder’s Group, Human Rights Funder’s Network, Ariadne (European) and Edge Funders Coalition which include hundreds of major funders and foundations such as Open Society, Humanity United, Ford, Carnegie Foundation, Overbrook Foundation, and private and grassroots philanthropists.
o	Oversee and develop programs, philanthropy and educational initiatives for organizers and activists globally, including Local Learning Initiatives Network, LIN, small grants program, translations and tools.
o	Build partnerships and active networks with other organizations, funders, governmental organizations, and private sector stakeholders related to these initiatives, including the Sustainable Development Goals, SDGs. Director, Global Field Initiatives

o	Responsible for management of US NGO, a section of a 30+ year old INGO, Peace Brigades International, headquartered in London, with field Projects in Latin America, Asia and Africa, utilizing unarmed civilian protection and protective accompaniment strategies and local field presence and international networks to deter violence against human rights activists in countries of conflict.
- Support and highlight the work of the human rights defenders and communities through education, advocacy, and outreach regarding economic, social, cultural and political rights and work with international bodies on emergency response and preparedness strategies, tools, and policy promotion at the UN, European Union and regional bodies.
o	Founder and manager of the National Lawyers Committee for Human Rights, committed to providing pro bono legal advice and assistance for human rights defenders.
o	Develop and implement national advocacy strategy in US, including lobbying with the UN, US Congress and State Department, Inter-American Commission on Human Rights national human rights and humanitarian coalitions, faith-based organizations and academia.

Executive Director

o	Directed this statewide non-profit organization with 1000+ organizational and individual members in governmental, non-governmental, faith-based, academic, and grassroots communities working to create progressive human needs’ programs and policies to serve New Mexicans and work for an end to poverty and hunger and build resilience and resources in poor communities with a focus on gender justice.  Activities included strategic planning, partnership planning and coalition building, fundraising, budgeting, advocacy and campaign development.
o	Extensive lobbying at State Legislature related to poverty reduction and economic justice, violence against women, health care reform, workforce and economic development, education, and homelessness.

Human Needs Coordinating Council

- Designed and directed national best practice holistic program for women experiencing domestic violence and severe poverty to move from welfare to work and reach economic self-sufficiency.
- Development of statewide system to provide services including child care, micro-enterprise loans, transportation, and housing.
