Fan Xia

Fan Xia is an individual passionate about analyzing BIG DATA and developing scalable data-processing systems.

With a diverse skill set, Fan Xia is proficient in programming languages including Python, SQL, C++, Bash, R, and Matlab.

Experienced in utilizing various tools and packages such as Spark, Airflow, Kubernetes, Docker, Aerospike, Kafka, Hadoop, Git, AWS, Pandas, Jupyter, Numpy, and GCP.

Academically, Fan Xia holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in High energy physics from the University of Virginia and a Bachelor's Degree in Physics with an outstanding GPA of 3.9 out of 4.0 from Lanzhou University.

Having worked as a Software Engineer at Wayfair and previously as a Data Engineering Fellow at Insight Data Science, Fan Xia also has experience as a Graduate Student Fellow at the School of Computational and Data Science for High Energy Physics, a Visiting Research Scholar at CERN, a Graduate Research Assistant, and a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Virginia.
