Fabrizio Opertti

Fabrizio Opertti, an Uruguayan professional, serves as the Manager of the Integration and Trade Sector (INT) at the Inter-American Development Bank.

In his role, Mr. Opertti oversees operational programs, technical assistance, regional initiatives support, policy research, and capacity building programs to promote trade, investment, economic integration, and regional cooperation in Latin America and the Caribbean.

Before his current position, he was the head of the Trade and Investment Division where he spearheaded the Bank's efforts in trade facilitation, export promotion, and investment attraction in LAC countries.

Fabrizio Opertti is credited for leading the design and implementation of ConnectAmericas, a business social network that aids SMEs in international trade and investment, with over 240,000 registered users globally.

Over his 20-year tenure at the Inter-American Development Bank, Mr. Opertti organized various significant pan-regional trade events, including the CEO Summit of the Americas and the Global Services-Outsource2LAC Business Forum, fostering international business relations.

He holds a degree in International Trade from Georgetown University and an MBA from The Johns Hopkins University.
