Ray MacNeil

Ray MacNeil is a professional with a deep interest in complexity sciences with a focus on their applications to human systems. He is passionate about machine learning, analytics, and various research methods. Ray has held leadership roles in both academic and governmental settings, specializing in research methods, analytics, program evaluation, and sensemaking. In recognition of his contributions, he was named Public Servant of the Year in 2016 by the Springtide Collective in Nova Scotia.

After retiring from the public service, Ray MacNeil now collaborates with a global network of colleagues, delving into sensemaking practices and pioneering new approaches to thinking and problem-solving. In 2017, he leveraged his expertise to establish local partnerships addressing justice issues in marginalized communities and enhancing workplace/employee engagement.

Currently, Ray is engaged as the C.L.A.R.I. Network Manager at Saint Mary's University in Nova Scotia, working towards launching the inter-university CLARI project. With a background in Kinesiology and Physical Education from Dalhousie University, Ray MacNeil brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to his current endeavors.
