Evgenia Markova, PhD

Evgenia Markova, PhD, is a seasoned professional with a background in biochemistry and molecular biology. She has a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from UCL and a Bachelor of Science (BSc) with a year in industry in Genetics from the University of York.

Evgenia has a rich history of leadership roles, having served as the former Chief Scientific Officer and VP of Science at Eden Bio Ltd. She was also a Co-Founder and CEO at Herspective and the TerraBite App. Furthermore, she has experience in education as a private biology and chemistry tutor and as a student representative at UCL.

Her early career includes roles such as Entrepreneur at Entrepreneur First, Head of Branch at Innovation Forum, Vice President at Innovation Forum, and Marketing Associate at Innovation Forum. She has also been involved in academia as a demonstrator at Birkbeck, University of London, and as a protein engineer during her year in industry at Heptares Therapeutics.

In addition to her corporate and academic engagements, Evgenia Markova has actively contributed to various societies and organizations. She has served as the Chair of the Debating Society at Goodenough College and as the Speaker Manager at TEDxGoodenoughCollege.

With an international perspective, Evgenia has earned American and Bulgarian High School Diplomas from the American College of Sofia. Her diverse experiences in entrepreneurship, education, science, and leadership highlight her multifaceted skill set and expertise in the field of biochemistry and molecular biology.
