Evan Traylor
Rabbinic Intern
Evan Traylor is a rabbinical student at the Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion and serves as a rabbinic intern at the 92nd Street Y in New York. He is actively involved in the Jewish community as a builder, educator, activist, and writer. Previously, he interned at Congregation Beth Elohim in Brooklyn and has held various leadership roles, including being a Wexner Graduate Fellow, Tisch Fellow, and Ko’ach Fellow. Traylor is also a board member of Encounter and JOIN For Justice, and he participates in the Leadership Team of the HUC-JIR Soup Kitchen.
Originally from Oklahoma City, Traylor graduated from the University of Kansas, where he studied political science, Jewish studies, and leadership studies. His background includes significant involvement in youth leadership within the Reform Jewish movement, having served as the North American President of NFTY. He currently resides in Brooklyn with his wife, Lindsey, and their dog, Ruby Nakia.123
