Evan Hafer is a well-known name in the coffee industry, especially for those who love fresh, roast-to-order coffee. Hafer is the CEO and founder of the Black Rifle Coffee Company, a premium coffee brand that has become a staple for coffee lovers around the world. Before starting his career in the coffee industry, Hafer had an impressive military career, serving in the U.S. Army for 20 years as an infantryman, a Special Forces soldier, and a CIA contractor. During his time in the army, Hafer discovered his passion for coffee, which he began roasting himself and taking with him on his deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan.
Hafer's love for coffee and his desire to provide a premium, roast-to-order coffee experience to the working man led him to establish the Black Rifle Coffee Company. The company has become a success, with its popularity spreading rapidly and even being featured on popular shows like Joe Rogan's podcast.
Hafer is a graduate of the University of Idaho, where he studied Political Science and Government. His professional experience ranges from serving in the US Army to working as a former Training Team Lead at Northrop Grumman Corporation, and a former US Government employee at MVM, Inc. and SOC LLC.
