Highlights
2025 is the year of the consumer AI application layer. Two things that we at @ForerunnerVC know will (must) underpin this opportunity: personalization and trust.
@ouraring + @thewebAI's approach to delivering the power of AI to Oura members on edge devices (phones in this case) exemplifies this opportunity for deep personalization, while enabling an immense level of privacy and trust, particularly when it comes to the critical topic of personal healthcare data.
The potential for AI’s positive impact on all of our lives is vast (See @reidhoffman's #Superagency for the optimists' pov); but the danger of losing all control over our own most personal data must be prioritized and protected early, and urgently.
Proud to see Oura starting the conversation on this as the leader in consumer health, and eagerly anticipate watching webAI become the standard for powering personal, secure AI on device.
Kudos to @tomeghale and @davidpstout and the Oura and WebAI teams. You’re doing important work the world needs to actualize the full potential of AI, for good and for all.
"The future belongs to those who can translate AI’s raw power into products that feel effortless, indispensable, and uniquely tailored to the individual." @kirstenagreen
We agree @garrytan @JoshConstine, it's time for consumer AI's time in the sun.
