Eric Girard is a prominent Canadian politician, currently serving as the Minister of Finance and the Member of the National Assembly (MNA) for Groulx in Quebec. Girard's political career began with a candidacy for the Conservative Party of Canada in the 2015 federal election, where he was defeated. He later successfully ran for the CAQ in 2018, winning his seat in Groulx with a significant majority.23 Upon his election, he was appointed Minister of Finance by Premier François Legault.
