Empa Jayson Browder is a decorated U.S. Air Force and Iraq Veteran who transitioned into becoming a U.S. Fulbright Scholar to Turkey. With a background as a Latino raised in the rural South, Browder is deeply passionate about public service, large-scale impact, and international affairs.
Browder's professional journey has seen him taking on roles across the globe, including Qatar, Iraq, Turkey, and the UAE, garnering accolades such as being named a top 40 Latino in Foreign Policy in 2020 by New America and a top 40 Under 40 in 2017 by Huffington Post. His diverse professional experience includes serving as an Assistant Dean at New York University in Abu Dhabi, a Presidential Management Fellow at The White House in the Office of Management and Budget, a U.S. Congressional Advisor in the House of Representatives, and an Executive Director of a global affairs NGO.
Education-wise, Browder holds a Bachelor of Arts in Latin American and Latino Studies and Sociology from Fordham University, an Executive Master of Public Administration in Global Public Policy and Management from New York University and UCL, and an AS in Construction Technology from the Community College of the Air Force.
Browder's extensive organizational involvement includes being the Founder and Chairman of the Board at Veterans in Global Leadership, formerly serving as the Assistant Dean of Administration at New York University Abu Dhabi, and founding and leading Veterans in Global Leadership. He has also been affiliated with prestigious organizations like the Center for a New American Security, Truman National Security Project, Carnegie Council for Ethics in International Affairs, Foreign Policy Journal, Atlantic Council, U.S. Department of State as a Fulbright Scholar, and more.
His previous roles encompass various responsibilities ranging from military and legislative roles in the U.S. Air Force and House of Representatives to contributions in national security and ethics fields, demonstrating a well-rounded and impactful professional journey.
