Dr. Emily Walsh Martin holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Developmental Genetics from the University of California, San Francisco, and a B.S. in Biology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

With an extensive background in the pharmaceutical and biotech industry, Dr. Martin has held key leadership positions in renowned organizations, including being the former Principal at Tremont Therapeutics Consulting LLC, Executive Director, Program Lead - Hemoglobinopathy at CRISPR Therapeutics, and Early Development Program Leader at Shire Pharmaceuticals.

Dr. Martin's career highlights also include roles such as Consultant at Halloran Consulting Group, Inc., Founder of Tremont Therapeutics, Program Manager at Alnylam Pharmaceuticals, and Project Manager at Novartis Institutes for BioMedical Research.

Prior to her industry roles, Dr. Martin contributed to research and academia as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Broad Institute and as a Graduate Student at the University of California, San Francisco, where she pursued her doctoral studies.
