Emily Patten
Assistant Professor at Brigham Young University
Emily Patten is a dedicated professional in the field of Human Ecology with a specialization in Hospitality and Dietetics Administration. She holds a PhD from Kansas State University, where she also served as a Graduate Research Assistant and a Graduate Teaching Assistant. Emily furthered her education by obtaining a MS in Nutritional Science with an emphasis in Dietetics Management and Education, as well as a BS in Dietetics, both from Brigham Young University. She completed her Dietetic Internship at Brigham Young University.
In her professional journey, Emily has assumed various roles including Assistant Professor at Brigham Young University, State Policy Representative at Utah Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, Administrative Dietitian/Educator, and Clinical Dietitian at Intermountain Healthcare. She has also been actively involved in community service through volunteering at Help Cape Verde and serving as a full-time representative for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
