Currently serving as the President/CEO of River City Company in Chattanooga, Emily leads a team dedicated to the planning, redevelopment, and activation of downtown Chattanooga as a vibrant urban center.
With a strong background in managing complex public initiatives and diverse teams, Emily's expertise lies in developing and implementing strategic plans to achieve organizational priorities.
Her previous role as the Director of the Department of Metropolitan Development in Indianapolis involved overseeing economic development programs, large-scale redevelopment projects, and the distribution of federal grants.
Emily has also held leadership positions in organizations such as CORE Planning Strategies, LLC, Indianapolis Downtown, Inc., and various roles within the City of Indianapolis, including Deputy Director and Preservation Planner.
She is actively involved in various boards and committees, including the Chattanooga Area Chamber of Commerce and the University of Tennessee Chattanooga Chancellor's Roundtable.
Emily's educational background includes a Master's of Science in Historic Preservation and a Bachelor's of Science in History, providing her with a strong foundation for her work in urban planning and economic development.
