Emily Jacobs

Emily Jacobs is a dedicated individual with a passion for serving others, particularly veterans, the youth, and cancer survivors. Her extensive volunteer experience spans over two decades, encompassing various roles in organizations such as Boy Scouts of America, Relay For Life, and Honor Flight Chicago.

At Honor Flight Chicago, Emily has been selected to accompany WWII Veterans on trips to Washington D.C. to visit memorials commemorating their service. She has also played a crucial role in organizing student initiatives and welcome home ceremonies for returning Veterans.

Emily's commitment to the youth is evident through her continued involvement with Girl Scouts of America since 1993, where she achieved lifetime membership and organized impactful service projects benefiting the local community.

In her role as Event Chairperson for the Augustana College Relay For Life, Emily brought together students and community members to support the mission of the American Cancer Society. She has also honed her leadership skills by attending national summits and currently serves as an advisor for District 300 Relay For Life.

Emily's academic background includes a Bachelor of Arts in Social Studies, Secondary Education, Spanish from Augustana College, and a Master's in Education in Curriculum and Instruction with a focus on Bilingual and ESL education from National Louis University. Her professional experience encompasses roles as a Bilingual and ESL Social Studies Teacher at Dundee-Crown High School, a Social Studies Teacher at Community High School District 94, a Special Education Assistant at Glenbard East High School, and a Community Advisor at Augustana College.
