Emily Chiu

Emily C. Chiu is a seasoned professional with over 15 years of experience in various industries, company stages, and roles. Her expertise spans operational, investing, and advisory roles, making her a well-rounded and versatile asset to any team. Currently, she serves as Head of Corporate Development at Square, where she spearheads the company's growth initiatives. Prior to her current role, Emily was part of the founding teams of two EdTech startups that have raised over $40 million in venture capital funding. Her professional investing experience includes leading half a dozen Seed/Series A investments as a tech investor and evaluating later-stage investments as a private equity investor at a $4 billion fund. Emily also has experience in investment banking and has worked on $8 billion in closed M&A deals while helping Fortune 1000 companies raise more than $2.5 billion in debt/equity financing. Emily has advised over 70 founding teams on fundraising and exit strategies and built relationships with over 100 leading acquirers to bridge the corporate/startup worlds.
