Emily Beanblossom is a sound art and experimental music enthusiast currently pursuing an education in these fields at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
With a background in arts administration, musical collaborations, and live performances on a national and international scale, Emily brings a diverse set of skills to the DIY arts and culture community.
Her educational journey includes a Master of Fine Arts in Sound from SAIC, a Bachelor of Arts in Library Science and Humanities from The Evergreen State College, and studies in Cultural Studies and Women and Gender Studies at Columbia College Chicago.
Emily has been involved in various organizations, serving as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at SAIC, Seasonal Coordinator at the Polish Film Festival in America, Administrative Senior at the City of Austin, Gallery Associate at Lion's Nest Gallery, Executive Assistant at MakerSquare, Soapmaker at Beanblossom Soaps, Library Circulation Aid at The Evergreen State College, and Education Coordinator Assistant at Hostelling International Chicago.
