Emil Michael

Emil Michael is a prominent technology executive and investor, best known for his role as Chief Business Officer at Uber from 2013 to 2017. During his tenure, he significantly contributed to the company's rapid growth, overseeing its expansion in China and the establishment of the Uber for Business division. He played a pivotal role in raising nearly $20 billion in capital and was instrumental in the merger of Uber's China operations with Didi Chuxing, which valued the combined entity at approximately $30 billion.123

Before joining Uber, Michael was the Chief Operating Officer at Klout, a social media analytics company, and was part of the founding team at Tellme Networks, a speech recognition technology firm acquired by Microsoft. He also served as a Special Assistant to the Secretary of Defense, where he managed projects in Afghanistan and Iraq.1234
