Emi Okuda

Emi Okuda is an accomplished educator with a Master's Degree in Education, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of Massachusetts. Okuda has worked in several educational organizations, serving in various capacities, including as a teacher, director, and manager. She has exceptional skills and expertise in English as a Second Language (ESL) teaching, program management, and operational management.
Okuda's career as an educator began as a Manager of Operations at Citizen Schools, a nonprofit organization that partners with middle schools to expand the learning day for students. She later joined The New Teacher Project (TNTP), serving as a Senior Manager of Program Operations, Rhode Island Teaching Fellows (RITF), where she facilitated the recruitment of teachers in high-need schools.
Emi also served as the Founding Manager of School Operations at KIPP Academy Lynn Elementary at KIPP Massachusetts, a charter school that focuses on preparing students from underserved communities for success in college and beyond. She was instrumental in developing the school's culture, operations, and systems, leading to its successful launch.
Additionally, Okuda has worked as a Director of English Language Center (ELC), Boston, at English Language Center, where she aided in providing English language training to international students. She also served as a Director of Academic Operations at Chyten Educational Services, where she provided academic support to students and parents, and facilitated instructional operations.
Emi is currently a Teacher and ESL Specialist, Kindergarten to 2nd grade, at Boston Public Schools, where she focuses on developing students' reading, writing, and communication skills.
