Ellen Jacoby

Ellen Jacoby is a renowned casting director and the owner of Ellen Jacoby Casting Int'l., based in Miami, Florida.1 She has been in the casting industry since 1986, with over 38 years of experience.1 Jacoby is known for her work on numerous high-profile films and TV series, including "The Birdcage," "Ace Ventura," "There's Something About Mary," "Contact," and "True Lies".2

Before her casting career, Jacoby was a professional singer, dancer, and international backgammon champion.23 She transitioned to casting in the mid-1980s, starting with local casting for "Miami Vice".3 Throughout her career, she has worked with many famous Hollywood directors, such as Steven Soderbergh, Joel Schumacher, and Martin Scorsese.2
