Elizabeth Schroeder

Elizabeth Schroeder, who prefers she/her pronouns, is a highly qualified professional with a diverse educational background and extensive experience in special education and advocacy.

She holds a Master of Education (MEd) in Special Education with a focus on Severe/Profound Disabilities from Vanderbilt Peabody College. Her passion for understanding psychology led her to complete a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Psychology with minors in Chemistry and History from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Aside from her formal education, Elizabeth also engaged in Pacific Northwest Backpacking studies at NOLS, showcasing her holistic approach to learning and exploration.

Throughout her career, Elizabeth has been actively involved in various organizations and roles. She currently serves as a Special Education Advocate at James E. Brown & Associates, PLLC, bringing her wealth of experience and expertise to support individuals with disabilities.

Her prior experience includes working as a Special Education Advocate at the same firm, as well as in teaching roles at Metro Nashville Public Schools and as a Graduate Assistant for Next Steps at Vanderbilt University. Elizabeth has also contributed to the field through positions such as Program Manager at Best Buddies International.

Moreover, she has a rich background in research and internship roles, having worked at institutions like UNC TEACCH Autism Program, Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago, MindSights Psychological Testing and Assessment Services, North Carolina Office on Disability and Health, and Warm Heart Worldwide, Inc.

Elizabeth's dedication to special education, coupled with her academic qualifications and practical experience, positions her as a valuable resource in the field of disabilities advocacy and support.
