Philippe Rolet

Philippe Rolet is a prominent figure in the field of artificial intelligence and entrepreneurship. He is the Founder & CEO of Machine Zero, a position he has held since February 2021.13 Rolet is also a founding member of Dust, where he has been working in engineering since June 2023.1

Prior to his current roles, Rolet co-founded Artefact and served as its CTO from December 2015 to July 2020.1 He also co-founded Little Big Data, where he was CTO from October 2013 to December 2015.1

Rolet's educational background includes studying at École Polytechnique.1 He obtained a Ph.D. in Machine Learning in 2010.4 His professional experience extends to academia, having worked as a Lecturer and TA in Computer Science at Orsay Technology Institute from September 2008 to September 2010.1

In terms of language proficiency, Rolet is native or bilingual in French, has full professional proficiency in English, and elementary proficiency in German.1

Rolet's work at Machine Zero focuses on exploring algorithms for intelligent machines.2 His research interests include reducing deep model size and training time, as evidenced by his work on PCNS (Pruning Channels with Noise Scheduling).2
