Elizabeth Hunt Eddy is a professional soccer player from the United States, currently playing as a midfielder for Angel City FC in the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL). Born on September 13, 1991, in Costa Mesa, California, Eddy has had a diverse and accomplished career in soccer.
Early Life and Education
Eddy attended the University of Southern California (USC), where she excelled as a dual-sport athlete in both soccer and lacrosse. During her time at USC, she played 76 matches in soccer, scoring 16 goals and providing nine assists. She was recognized for her achievements, earning honors such as All-Pac-12 Honorable Mention and being named Female Trojan of the Year for the 2013–2014 academic year.12

Eddy was drafted by Sky Blue FC in the 2014 NWSL Draft but initially returned to USC to complete her master's degree. She later joined the Western New York Flash, where she played a pivotal role in their 2016 NWSL Championship win. Following the Flash's relocation and rebranding as the North Carolina Courage, Eddy continued to achieve success, winning multiple titles including two national championships and three NWSL Shields during her tenure.123
Eddy's career has included international experiences, with loan spells at Okayama Yunogo Belle in Japan, Vittsjö GIK in Sweden, and Newcastle Jets in Australia. In March 2022, she was traded to Houston Dash, where she had a notable performance, scoring twice in a match against the North Carolina Courage. In June 2023, she signed with Angel City FC, initially as a national team replacement player, and later extended her contract through 2025.123
Personal Life
Outside of soccer, Eddy is known for her love of surfing and has actively participated in the sport while playing in Australia. She has also been involved in supporting her family, notably during her father's recovery from a stroke in 2022.12
