Elite Sailing

Dave Allan is a highly experienced professional with a background as an engineer officer in the Royal Air Force from 1968 to 1994.

During his tenure in the RAF, Dave held various roles including squadron engineer officer, Officer Commanding Engineering Wing, and Head of Technical Intelligence (Air) in the Defence Intelligence Staff.

Dave is a Chartered Engineer, Master of Science, and a Fellow of the Royal Aeronautical Society, showcasing his expertise and qualifications in the field.

Post his retirement from the RAF in 1994, Dave, along with his wife Susan Allan, founded 'Elite Sailing' in 1995, a prominent RYA Training Centre located in Chatham, Kent.

At Elite Sailing, Dave serves as the Owner and Chief Instructor, bringing his wealth of knowledge and skills to the sailing industry.

Apart from his engineering background, Dave is also an RYA/MCA Yachtmaster Instructor and Yachtmaster Examiner, highlighting his proficiency in sailing and maritime education.
