Elena Akulenko is an accomplished patent attorney with expertise in preparing and prosecuting international patent applications. With experience spanning across several jurisdictions, including Europe, the US, Japan, China, South Korea, Australia, Canada, India, Brazil, Mexico, Israel, Ukraine, and the Eurasian Patent Office, she excels in formulating and implementing strategic patent management plans that are aimed at maximizing the intellectual property protection of portfolio companies. Elena is also skilled in conducting patent searches, resolving intellectual property issues, and building robust professional relationships with stakeholders.

Elena received her Doctoral Candidate qualification in Materials Engineering from the University of Turku, Finland. She also has a Master of Science in Technology from LUT University and Bachelor of Law from the Kutafin Moscow State Law University. Elena has a Master's degree in Chemistry from Saint Petersburg State University.

Elena currently serves as Patent Counsel at Maxwell Biotech Group. She previously held senior patent expert and discipline head positions in SKOLKOVO Foundation's Nuclear-Tech Department. Prior to that, Elena worked as a patent expert at Gorodissky & Partners and a patent and license engineer at AQUAPHOR.
