Eleanor Blume

Eleanor Blume is currently serving as a Special Assistant Attorney General at the California Department of Justice, where she focuses on economic justice. Her role involves providing legal and policy advice on various issues, including consumer protection, antitrust, and labor matters. She has a notable background in government service, having previously worked as a Director at the Department of Defense, where she implemented regulations to protect military families from abusive lending practices. Additionally, she served as Counsel at the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, contributing to consumer protection policies.125

Blume's experience extends to her time as a Senior Economic Advisor under former Attorney General Xavier Becerra, where she managed a wide range of responsibilities related to economic justice. She holds a Juris Doctor from the University of California, Berkeley School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in sociology from Wellesley College. Her work has been recognized with the Office of the Secretary of Defense Award for Excellence.134
