Who is Egor Petukhovsky?

Egor Petukhovsky is a computer science engineer turned FinTech entrepreneur with over a decade of experience handling various IT projects.25 He is the founder of the over-the-counter (OTC) crypto desk Suex and the Telegram chat bot for peer-to-peer crypto trades Chatex.1

In September 2021, the U.S. Treasury's Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) designated Suex as a money-laundering vehicle. Petukhovsky stated he intends to defend his name in U.S. litigation and withdrew from Chatex's shareholders and as an employee.1

Petukhovsky is the largest shareholder of Suex, which is registered in the Czech Republic as SUEX OTC s.r.o. Another corporate parent of Suex is the Estonian company Izibits OU, which also owns Chatex.1

Other Suex shareholders include Vasilii Zhabykin, Ildar Zakirov and Maksim Subbotin (also known as Maxim Kurbangaleev). Zhabykin previously worked at NUUM, the banking platform of Russia's major telecom provider MTS.1
