Alex Zhou

Alex Zhou is a prominent venture capitalist and the Managing Partner at Qiming Venture Partners, a leading venture capital firm based in China. He is recognized for his significant contributions to investments in deep technology sectors, including artificial intelligence, robotics, semiconductors, and automotive technology. His portfolio features several unicorn companies such as UBTech Robotics and Roborock, as well as other high-growth firms like DeepWay, which specializes in smart electric commercial vehicles.12

In addition to his role at Qiming, Zhou serves on the board of DeepWay, where he has been instrumental in securing substantial funding rounds, including a notable ￥460 million Series A financing.35 His previous experience includes working with Kleiner Perkins in both China and Silicon Valley and leading Hewlett-Packard's data storage business in China before transitioning into venture capital.12

Zhou holds an MBA in Finance and Entrepreneurship from Columbia University and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Harbin Institute of Technology.
