Hired as Chief Technology Officer to bring a business oriented approach to running technology for an association. Implemented and transitioned several technology platform changes to enable the former National Business Travel Association (NBTA) to scale and grow globally into GBTA.

Moved from internally hosted business system to all cloud providers, including email, file servers, web hosting for production and testing environments.

Implemented redesign of primary website and key production technologies to enable faster time to market for products, and to place GBTA in a better position to grow globally.

Responsibilities grew to include all marketing, product development, technology, and membership services for the global association.

Executed all technology and marketing initiatives for rebranding from NBTA to GBTA. 

Implemented new marketing techniques to ensure all marketing systems were focused on return on investment. Added new membership services including a private social collaboration platform and several website enhancements allowing members access to a greater depth of resources.

Responsibilities grew to include global sales focused on adding processes and systems to scale the global sales team's efforts.

Launched Salesforce.com instance and moved entire team to a new client management approach allowing for global focus while meeting existing clients needs.

Created business case for new GBTA Media Group which included the launch of the Global Business Travel Magazine.  GBT Magazine launched in January 2013 with unique editorial voice and creative look to inspire members and promote the industry worldwide.

Over the past four years Ed and his team have led the organization through a period of transformation resulting in member growth of 106% over that same period.

Worked in both the retail division and the hospitality division providing technical and business leadership related to all hotel and online strategies.

Worked with the hotel technology and product team to integrate all aspects of TDS's hospitality expertise into Orbitz.com and vice-versa. Ensuring Orbitz.com was able to leverage the assets and abilities from the Cendant Travel Distribution hospitality sector.

Technology Strategy & Planning for Travel Distribution Division (TDS) of Cendant. Worked directly for CIO of TDS.

Worked to ensure that all divisions within Cendant were working towards common technology and product goals and provided strategic guidance towards the allocation of $140M in technology capital.

Co-founded Lodging.com which started as a directory of hotels and grew into a hotel booking platform used by over 3,500 websites and travel agencies. Lodging.com contracted directly with about 5,000 hotels to offer discounted rates. The company was acquired by Cendant's Travel Distributions Services Division (now Travelport) in August of 2002.

Lodging.com was an early innovator in the merchant hotel space.

Responsible for technology and product development including website, back end systems, infrastructure, call centers, and travel agency related systems.
