Edward R. Boyd, Jr. is an accomplished serial entrepreneur, educator, and executive with a diverse background in education, entrepreneurship, and non-profit leadership.
With a strong commitment to serving urban adolescents, ethnic minorities, and women, Ed focuses on gang prevention/intervention, wealth creation through entrepreneurship and education, and addressing inequities that affect low-resource communities and minority populations.
As the Chief Strategy Officer of iNvictus Group Holdings, LLC. (iGH), a venture he co-founded, Ed leads initiatives leveraging entrepreneurship and education as catalysts for positive change.
Additionally, Ed is actively involved in various organizations and initiatives, including serving as the Board Chair of iNvictus Forward Outreach, the 501(c)3 non-profit arm of the iNvictus umbrella, and as the Program Director of the iNvictus EMERGE program, which supports minority entrepreneurs.
His dedication to community leadership is evident through his roles on the Z. Smith Reynolds Foundation’s Community Leadership Council and as a design and implementation consultant for various programs.
Ed's academic journey includes studying Barber Science, Philosophy, Religious Studies, and earning Teacher's Certification in Middle Grades Social Studies from reputable institutions such as Rutgers University, Shaw University, and North Carolina Central University.
Throughout his career, Ed held key positions in organizations like the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Durham Public Schools, and various non-profits, showcasing his expertise in entrepreneurship, education, and community development.
