Ed Rodgers is a dedicated and experienced professional with a strong background in oncology care delivery improvement.
With a blend of information technology and natural sciences education, Ed started his mission in oncology improvement as the original programmer and product manager for the Pathways program at UPMC CancerCenter in 2004, which led to the formation of Via Oncology.
Since 2009, Ed has been instrumental in expanding the Via Oncology Pathways network by assisting oncology service provider organizations and hospitals in preparing for accountable care while continuously enhancing products based on feedback.
Ed's approach revolves around patient priorities, understanding the healthcare economics, root-cause analysis, and applying innovative solutions to drive long-term vision and problem-solving within oncology practices.
He actively seeks improvement opportunities and engages with industry thought leaders to explore and discuss these prospects.
Ed believes in the potential of Clinical Pathways to revolutionize oncology practices and improve patient quality of life by laying the foundation for clinic transformations.
His expertise spans situational analysis, customer service, oral and written communication, requirements elicitation, clinical to technical translation, system design, strategic planning, clinical pathways, oncology industry knowledge, and marketing.

His educational background includes a Bachelor of Science from the University of Pittsburgh, a Master of International Studies in Business from The Ohio State University, and General Science studies at Lakeland Community College.
Throughout his career, Ed has held key roles in organizations such as Director of Network Development at Clinicalpath, Director of Network Development at D3 Oncology Solutions, Account Development Manager at D3 Oncology Solutions, and various positions at Via Oncology, Upmc, and other institutions.
