Edward F. Crawley is a distinguished academic and engineer who has spent his entire career at MIT.6 He is the Ford Professor of Engineering and a Professor of Aeronautics and Astronautics and of Engineering Systems at MIT.13 Crawley received his SB (1976), SM (1978), and ScD (1981) in Aeronautics and Astronautics from MIT.13

Crawley is a member of multiple national academies of engineering, including the U.S. National Academy of Engineering, the Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Science, and the UK Royal Academy of Engineering.1 He is also a Fellow of the AIAA and the Royal Aeronautical Society (UK).15
