Lishuai Li
Associate Professor at City University of Hong Kong
Lishuai Li is an Associate Professor in the Department of Data Science at the City University of Hong Kong. She holds courtesy appointments in the Department of Mechanical Engineering and is affiliated with the Department of Systems Engineering. Her research focuses on the interdisciplinary fields of intelligent transportation systems and data science, with particular emphasis on air transportation systems, data analytics, and artificial intelligence. She has developed methods for airline safety management, operations improvement, and air traffic management using large-scale operational data.123
Prof. Li has been recognized among Stanford-Elsevier’s List of the World’s Top 2% Scientists from 2022 to 2024. She is a Fellow of the Royal Aeronautical Society and a Senior Member of IEEE. Additionally, she serves as Vice Chair of the Aviation Applications Section at INFORMS and holds editorial positions in several prestigious journals like "Transportation Research Part C: Emerging Technologies" and "Journal of Air Transport Management".23
Her educational background includes a Ph.D. and M.Sc. from the Department of Aeronautics and Astronautics at MIT, and a B.Eng. in Aircraft Design and Engineering from Fudan University. Before her academic career, she worked at McKinsey & Company in the US and Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands.12
