Edward Rees

Edward Rees is a highly educated professional with a diverse background in international relations, peacebuilding, and development work. He pursued his education at various prestigious institutions including Universtas Kristen Satya Wacana, Goodenough College, King's College London, McGill University, and University of King's College.

Throughout his career, Edward held several key positions at the United Nations, where he served as a Reconciliation and Development Adviser, Peace and Development Adviser, Head of Office in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa / FATA for UNDP, and Political Adviser for various special commissions and envoys. He also took on roles at organizations like Building Markets, The World Bank, The Atlantic, and the International Crisis Group.

In addition to his work in the public sector, Edward co-founded Fundasaun Mahein and contributed to the Centre for International Governance Innovation (CIGI). His expertise spans political economy, security sector programs, peacekeeping best practices, and policy advisory roles.
