Tricking is “martial arts without opponents, gymnastics without judges, expression without limitation.” It’s a relatively new acrobatic sport created in California that’s now taking the world by storm.

Tricking GR is the first and only complete tricking teaching system in Greece, and one of very few worldwide. We teach regular classes, give stage performances, and organize local events with international guests.

Launched LevelApp in August 2014, a tricking combo generator and tricktionary. Got to 20+ users in the first two days, but did not retain them. Learned a lot about the habits of trickers and possible pivot directions.

AnyRoad is a San Francisco based startup aiming to revolutionize the tourism industry. Their main product is AnyGuide, which allows guides and tour operators to bring their work online. It features booking, scheduling, messaging, online payments, invoicing and more. Think AirBnB for experiences.

- Worked closely with Product and UX to shape and develop new features.
- Implemented new features in the front and back end.
- Migrated legacy data to accommodate architectural changes.
- Led and created the process of installing the company’s JS plugins to third party websites.
- Implemented API for the mobile AnyGuide app.

Stack: Ruby on Rails, PostgreSQL, Heroku. React with a Webpack build on ES6 (using Babel polyfill).

Microarray analysis using cancer tissue data. Tools: R, Matlab, Bioconductor.

Thesis titled “Comparative evaluation of Affymetrix and Illumina genome-wide expression data in Pleural Mesothelioma”, supervised by Ioannis Tsamardinos, was published as a poster abstract in the proceedings of the 7th conference of the Hellenic Society for Computational Biology and Bioinformatics (HSCBB12).
