Howie Liu is an accomplished CEO and co-founder of Airtable, a startup that revolutionizes the way software is created. Under his leadership, well-known companies such as Netflix, TIME, Conde Nast, jetBlue, Shopify, Glossier, The City of Los Angeles, and half the Fortune 1000 have adopted Airtable to power their operations. His success earned Airtable the recognition of Davos World Economic Forum’s Technology Pioneers, Fast Company's Most Innovative Companies, Forbes' Cloud 100, CNBC’s Disruptor 50, and Fortune’s 100 Greatest Designs of All Time.
Before Airtable, Liu made a name for himself as a product leader at Salesforce following its acquisition of Etacts, a CRM software he co-founded. His interest in software programming started when he was 13 and found an unread C++ training book in his father's office. Ever since, he has been interested in using software as a medium for creative expression and economic value creation. Liu studied Public Policy and Mechanical Engineering at Duke University, where he also worked as a Computational Airfoil Design researcher.
