Earnest Sweat, a rising star in venture capital, is making waves in the fast-paced world of tech investing. As an Associate Partner at GreatPoint Ventures, Sweat focuses on companies that are revolutionizing their industries in Commerce Infrastructure, the Built Environment, and IT & Data Infrastructures. Prior to GreatPoint, Sweat was a founding member at Prologis Ventures, where he honed his investment skills working with the world’s largest industrial real estate owner.

Sweat’s education includes a BA in Economics from Columbia University in the City of New York and an MBA from Northwestern University - Kellogg School of Management. His extensive experience in venture capital includes being named to Venture Capital Journal's Rising Stars 2021 list, and he is also a founding Board Member of BLCK VC, a community committed to helping black investors succeed.

Sweat’s portfolio of investments includes companies like Ananda Networks, Cooler Screens, and Flexport, and he has served on numerous boards and as an observer in various capacities. As a consultant at The Bridgespan Group and Founder & CEO of MERIT, Inc, Sweat developed his skills in consulting and entrepreneurship to expand his expertise in venture capital.
