Duncan Wong

Dr. Duncan Wong is a prominent figure in the field of blockchain and distributed ledger technology (DLT), currently serving as the Founder and CEO of CryptoBLK, a technology company specializing in enterprise blockchain solutions for the global financial market.

Prior to his role at CryptoBLK, Dr. Wong led the Financial Technologies (FinTech) Initiative at the Hong Kong Applied Science and Technology Research Institute (ASTRI), where he focused on cybersecurity, blockchain, artificial intelligence, big data analytics, and machine learning.

With a background in academia, Dr. Wong has held professorial positions at esteemed institutions such as the Chinese University of Hong Kong and the City University of Hong Kong, with research interests spanning information security, cryptography, cryptographic systems, encryption, digital signature, and cryptocurrencies. He has an extensive publication record in cryptography and information security and has played vital roles in numerous international conferences.

Dr. Wong's educational journey includes a PhD in Computer Science from Northeastern University, an MPhil in Information Engineering from The Chinese University of Hong Kong, and a BEng (First Class Honours) in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from The University of Hong Kong.

In addition to his current role at CryptoBLK, Dr. Wong has previously held positions such as Vice President of Financial Technologies, Director of Security and Data Sciences at ASTRI, and various professorial roles at leading universities in Hong Kong and China.
