Duane Elgin

Duane Elgin is an accomplished author, speaker, consultant, and media activist. With a master's degree in economic history from the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from Wharton, he has dedicated his career to exploring the intersection of global trends, sustainability, spirituality, and culture. He has spoken and consulted with audiences ranging from business executives and civic groups to spiritual communities and college students, delivering more than 300 keynote speeches and workshops to date. In the early 1970s, Duane worked as a Senior Social Scientist at SRI International, where he conducted research on the long-range future for government agencies and private corporations. He has also served as a Senior Social Scientist with a joint Congressional-Presidential Commission on the American Future. As a media activist, Duane co-founded three trans-partisan non-profit organizations working for media accountability and an empowered democracy. He is the author of several books, including "Voluntary Simplicity," "Promise Ahead," "Awakening Earth," and "The Living Universe." Duane Elgin is sought after as a keynote speaker and consultant on global trends, sustainability, and science and spirituality.
