Patrick Hacker

Dr. Patrick Ansgar Hacker is a highly accomplished professional dedicated to driving operations towards excellence in processes, digitalization, and innovation.

Dr. Hacker holds a diverse educational background with a focus on engineering, business administration, and technology- and innovation management. He pursued his Dr.-Ing. at RWTH Aachen with a research stay at Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina. Additionally, he studied for his MBA at Rheinisch-Westfälische Technische Hochschule Aachen, and as a visiting student at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology for his Diplomarbeit im Maschinenbaustudium and Dipl.-Ing. in Maschinenbau.

In his professional journey, Dr. Hacker has held pivotal roles at renowned organizations. He served as the Head of Manufacturing Excellence at Hilti Group and previously as the Head of Strategy Global Manufacturing at the same organization. Earlier in his career, he was instrumental as the Head of Technology & Innovation Automotive, BU Forged Technologies at thyssenkrupp, and held leadership positions in technology and innovation at thyssenkrupp, managing innovation strategy, projects, and processes.

Dr. Hacker has also contributed significantly in academia and research, serving as an internal consultant during his PhD thesis at SENAI/SC - Serviço Nacional de Aprendizagem Industrial, and showcasing his expertise as a Team Leader in the Department of Technology Management at Fraunhofer IPT. He also took on the role of Project Manager at Fraunhofer IPT.
