Dr. Kevin Berkopes

Dr. Kevin Berkopes is the Education Innovation Executive at NEXT Studios.13 He is responsible for expanding the Studio’s work in education innovation, specifically in delivering relevant skills to students.1 He assumed the role of Education Innovation Executive at NEXT Studios in August 2023.15

In addition to his role at NEXT Studios, Kevin is also the CEO and co-founder of MathTrack, an innovator in apprenticeship degree paths and mathematics teacher talent development across the U.S.14 He is also the managing partner of RoverCode, and the founder of Crossroads Education, a research and development firm.1 Previously, he served as faculty and researcher at Indiana University, Purdue University, and Wabash College.1

Berkopes is passionate about using technology to break barriers in traditional education systems.2 He believes in disrupting existing teaching methods to make meaningful change for effective, equitable education.2

Berkopes received a Bachelor's Degree and a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Educational Mathematics from Purdue University, as well as a Master's Degree in Mathematics from the University of Texas at Austin.15
