Dr. Julia Harrison, DSW, is a public & non-profit executive, consultant, and social instigator with a strong focus on designing new economic structures emphasizing resiliency, equality, connectedness, participation, and environmental protection. Her diverse background encompasses economic development, ethics, social work, and strategic planning. Currently pursuing a Doctorate in Social Innovation at the University of Southern California’s Suzanne Dworak-Peck School of Social Work, where she is set to complete her capstone in August 2020. Julia's passion lies in community development work and she envisions a world where individuals have the resources to self-actualize. She advocates for natural systems that prioritize interpersonal relationships over formal structures. Drawing inspiration from symbiotic relationships in nature and Maslow's hierarchy of needs, she finds joy in playing music, hiking, biking, dancing, and acting in her leisure time.
