Marty Chaskin is a highly experienced professional with expertise in various fields. He is an accomplished author, speaker, and consultant with more than 25 years of experience in the nonprofit and philanthropic sectors. Chaskin's leadership in these sectors has been marked by his ability to create and sustain collaborative relationships with diverse stakeholders, helping organizations to achieve a meaningful impact through strategic planning and program development. He has a Bachelor's degree in sociology from the University of Michigan and a Ph.D. in social policy from Columbia University. Chaskin has authored several books on social policy and community development, including "Integrating the Inner City: The Promise and Perils of Mixed-Income Public Housing Reform" and "Preventing Youth Violence in Urban Schools: An Essay Collection". He is currently Professor Emeritus at the School of Social Service Administration at the University of Chicago, where he previously served as the Dean, and is a Senior Fellow at the Chapin Hall Center for Children.
