Doreen Wong, known as Dory, is a dedicated professional focused on supporting social entrepreneurs and scaling climate and sustainability solutions to combat the impacts of climate change on Earth.
With over a decade of experience, Doreen has collaborated with various entities including Fortune 500 companies, government agencies, nonprofits, universities, and VC funds to finance and scale climate technology solutions.
Her venture career began with Alumni Ventures Group's Social Impact Fund and Towerview Ventures, a Duke affiliate fund, and later contributed significantly to Booz Allen Hamilton's technology scouting practice in Silicon Valley and the establishment of its corporate venture arm.
In 2020, Doreen transitioned to Republic as a Venture Partner, aiming to democratize access to early-stage investments and support underrepresented founders.
Currently, she is actively involved in Sustainable Ocean Alliance and its affiliate VC fund, Seabird Ventures, focusing on ocean-based climate solutions, recognized as an ImpactAssets 50 Emerging Impact Fund.
Apart from her climate and sustainability efforts, Doreen advocates for building diverse, equitable, and inclusive communities, participating in various initiatives and serving as a Board Member in relevant organizations.
