Dominic Shorthouse

Dominic Shorthouse is an accomplished business leader and investor with extensive experience in various sectors of the economy. He has successfully built businesses since 1988, played pivotal roles in building new businesses and rebuilding troubled companies. With involvement in approximately 50 boards based in the UK, France, Germany, Denmark, Holland, Italy, Ireland, China, and the US, Dominic has overseen operations in Europe, the US, Canada, Australia, South Africa, and parts of Asia. His in-depth knowledge and expertise have made him a valuable asset to a variety of businesses.

Dominic has demonstrated his ability to build and lead a team at Englefield and Warburg Pincus, where he developed both firms from scratch, attracting top talent and creating exceptional team spirit. He has worked with family and institutional capital on a large scale and played a high-impact role in numerous highly regulated businesses, including education, financial services, energy, telecoms, and waste.

Dominic holds an M.B.A. from the Stanford Graduate School of Business and a Master of Arts in Classics and Philosophy from the University of Oxford. In addition to his professional work, he serves as the Deputy Chairman of the board of the Anna Freud Centre, a research charity dedicated to child and adolescent mental health issues.
