Dominic Shorthouse is a British private investor and a prominent figure in the private equity sector. He is the founder of Englefield Capital LLP, a mid-market private equity firm, and has previously held the position of partner at Warburg Pincus, a global private equity firm. His notable contributions include significant investments in various sectors, such as the creation of the UK terrestrial TV channel Channel 5 and the establishment of Cognita, a private schools operator in the UK.12
Shorthouse graduated from the University of Oxford with a master's degree in Latin and Greek literature and philosophy, and he earned an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business. His career began in investment banking at Morgan Stanley, and he has since been involved in over $2 billion worth of investments across Europe and the UK, focusing on sectors like financial services, manufacturing, and telecommunications.12
In addition to his role at Englefield, Shorthouse is a member of the Advisory Board at Lennox Investment Management, which focuses on investments in prime Central London residential properties.
